The New Addition...

Brett and I have been mulling over the idea of getting a puppy since we moved to Australia nearly 4 years ago.  We have come up with many excuses along the way as to why we couldn't get a puppy; "We're going on a holiday and who's going to watch it", "We really enjoy our freedom to come and go as we please", "We really enjoy our sleep, namely our sleep-ins" and the list goes on.  That all changed last Monday when I emailed Brett at work and said FIND ME A PUPPY!  A dachshund to be exact!  A short while later, Brett found a local person who was selling puppies and they were AVAILABLE :)  We went to see them on Monday night after work and it was love at first sight.  As soon as we walked in the door one of the puppies ran straight up to me and wanted me to hold her!  She lied in my arms the entire time we were there...I guess you can say she chose us!  And the rest will be history (or further blog posts-as we navigate our way through puppy parenting!).  Meet Ellie, our little devil angel.
